P65 | THREE JUMPS. New areas for mind, body and sprirt.

by Noemí Martínez Tejero

The residual voids are transformed into potential spaces. They define a new scene, where the randomness of spaces leads to two different design strategies that turn out in two different projects, each one fulfilling the needs of the dwellers. The analysis, diagnostics and prescription derived from the relations object-place and subject-user define place and use in the project through four types of elements: vertical planes-the party walls, horizontal-empty ground, the boxes-buildings in unfavorable conditions and urban strips-ground floors with no use. What shall we do with a wall? The list of activities developed into these new conformations lead to the re-activation, re-conditioning and re-dwelling of the districts of Sants-Labordeta. Three training programs, Mind - Body – Spirit, bring new activity from the city center to Sants-district. People involved in any of the working areas will be able to show/sell/expose their work in the ground floor. There are areas focused on the body and spirit issues, playground for children, vegetable patches and a public dining room. Outdoor activities should be organized on top of the railway.
